Natural Inspiration

When trying to find inspiration, the best thing to do sometimes is to look in your own backyard. Literally. My garden has always inspired me, as a place to cultivate, to appreciate and to admire nature and its constant changeable quality.

Ferns are amazing; with very little effort you can turn any garden into a rainforest with this stuff. Ferns can survive in various climates and on different altitudes. These plants are among the oldest living organisms on the planet, having been around for nearly 400 million years. Completely adaptable and insanely decorative, ferns are among my favourite plants in the garden and one of the first plants I turned to for inspiration when designing and printing naturally inspired scarves.
